Help us Mobilise a School - in 2023!

Cora Bike Rack is excited to be partnering with World Bicycle Relief to mobilise young people living in low-income, rural communities using the Power of Bicycles.

We have set an ambitious but achievable goal: to raise $35000 to mobilise an entire school. This will enable World Bicycle Relief to:

• Establish a Bicycle Supervisory Committee in a rural community, which will identify students most in need of transport, monitor their progress, and provide feedback on how the program is working.
• Distribute 120 Buffalo Bicycles to students who face long, exhausting journeys to school, and who risk dropping out as a result.
• Train a local mechanic, so students can easily access repair and maintenance services to keep their bicycles on the road.

Distance is a Barrier

According to the United Nations, access to education increases adult earnings by around 10% for each additional year of schooling. By raising enough money to mobilise an entire school, we're helping ensure 120 children have a pathway out of poverty.

With a Buffalo Bicycle, a student's commute time can be reduced by up to 75%, attendance rates rise by 30%, and academic performance increases by almost 60%.

For girls, it also means increased safety on the journey to school.
